The Pension & Benefits manager has the following responsibilities:
to develop and maintain pension and retirement policies as an important part of within Ahold Europe’s terms and conditions of employment;
directing and guiding in (and to lead others in) pension communication to employees/participants;
external representation of Ahold Europe in for example the dutch employers organisationVNO/NCW and trade organisations;
representation of Ahold Europe in the Global Pension Committee of Royal Ahold;
being liaison at Ahold Europe with the Ahold Pension Fund, other pension administrators and Finance with regards to pension related issues;
beside pension, the responsibility can be extended with regards to compensation and benefits and/or disability policies.
Position requirements
For this position the following requirements apply:
academic work level;
technically in-depth pension expertise (legal, financial/actuarial) / knowledge of laws and legislation;
experience with problems concerning human resources and more specifically terms and conditions of employment / knowledge of legislation;
at least 5 years experience in a similar function, preferably at a multinational company;
excellent strategic insight and communicative and negotiation skills;
can work in projects, has strength in implementation and has a helicopter view;
politically and organizationally sensitive;
experience with leading a small team of professionals;
European / international pension orientation;
good knowledge of the English language, both written and verbal.

Within a still to implement HR-Expertise department, a new position will be created for a Pension & Benefits manager (director level).
